How to use the Search for a Name engine?

Click on the letter of the Alphabet above the “Search for a Name” button which is the first letter of the family name of the person you wish to find.
Check the list to see if the person you are looking for is named. You can identify the person you wish by checking his/her profession, or any other relevant information (on the right side of the name).

Once you have found the person you wanted, you can see from the list under their name in which interview and how often they were mentioned.

For example:

Aczél, György – Hungarian communist politician
HSZE1 Vladimír Vujovits – 9. 

Explanation:

In the given interview (reference number: HSZE1) the Interviewee, Vladimír Vujovits, mentioned the Hungarian communist politician, György Aczél on nine different pages.

For further details, click on the name of the Interviewee, and you will be transferred to the Index of the specific interview. There you can find out exactly which page(s) the person you were looking for was mentioned. If you wish to access the full interview, go to “Full interview”, and you will receive information on how to proceed.

Note! The Search for a Name does not contain all the names of the people mentioned in the interviews. Some people, occasionally mentioned friends, relatives or acquaintances, neighbours (for example Józsi, the grocer on the corner, or Mrs. Fazekas, the neighbour)  whom are not likely to be well known or of public relevance, or whom might not be identifiable, and who are not likely to be mentioned in any other interview, will only be listed (due to technical reasons) in the Index of the given Interview.
